- Email — changing email typically requires your current password
- Contact NitHost support if your username needs to change
Password
- Account → change password
- Current password + new password (meets policy)
- Save — sessions may require re-login
If locked out, use Forgot password on the login page (requires working SMTP).
Two-factor authentication (TOTP)
- Account → 2FA / Two-factor card
- Setup — scan QR code with Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, etc.
- Enter the 6-digit code to enable
- Store recovery codes offline if provided
To disable two-factor authentication, use the Account controls and supply the requested verification. Contact NitHost support if you are locked out.
2FA protects panel login and sensitive secret reveal (re-auth). Enable it on your account.
